I like cloudscapes, and the one below, taken over the Ottawa River on a midafternoon this past May, is about 15 minutes' ride from home. I took it after a ride up into the hills across the river, celebrating a ride a month after eye surgery.

The Palouse region of eastern Washington is an emerald carpet in late spring.
And the roads are often totally empty.

I have seen the golden Palouse during two previous bike tours. Your photos of the green Palouse inspire me to see the Palouse again during late Spring. I researched a Spokane-Lewiston loop route but don't plan to do it this year.
