Last Day in Chalten

I could stay in Chalten another week but my return-flight home is in a month and it would be cutting it fine to delay here any longer. Mush as I have enjoyed the hiking I would like to get back on the road for a few weeks to round off this cycle-tour. It would be nice to return back north to Bariloche where it all began on the 5 of November, then it would feel like a journey having arrived back at kilometre zero. The weather is to continue fine for the week ahead with the wind moderate, though we'll see as the wind here can be unpredictable.  Of coarse the road is the 40, north to Perito Moreno from where I've the choice of crossing to Chile and riding the northern section of route 7, or continue on 40, but that's a week or more in the future. Tomorrow the plan is to cycle 124 kms east to Tres Lagos and then its a 170 kms to the next town Gob Gregores which usually takes two more days, followed by over 300 kms more to Perito Moreno.

I have checked over the Kona. The cheap rear wheel's cones are loose and feel rough, the aftermath of having gone under crossing a deep puddle in Scotland last Summer, but fingers crossed it'll soldier on until the end. I have put air in the tyres, more as an exercise to check that my pump is working and the cheap tubeless valves supplied are not stuck, can be unscrewed and are not blocked with gummed up sealent.

Well, after a rest day with mush admin, I've come to dinner to the usual cafe beside the campsite.  I had to wait a while to get served as there is a big group in whereby the staff were preocupied pushing tables together making one long table. With the hot evening I ordered a refreshing IPA and went for pizza which is good here. Then I'd a second beer follow by a glass of wine. The next few weeks I'll miss this.

I will miss this
