I wonder how much a haircut is Spain costs? Jacinto got one in Mexico a couple of weeks ago for $4. What a bargain!

Looking forward to Spain TA! Knee sounds like it will be back to fully functional!

Portland actually topped out at 108 degrees on this day so you did the right thing by taking off to Astoria.

It’s set in a fictional location of course, but it could have been in any of the coastal rivers along the Oregon Coast - so many of them look and feel like this.

Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful book - it’s probably been over 50 years since I read it. It must be due for a second look.

Brings to mind the book/movie “Sometimes a Great Notion”, though my bet is that the story takes place somewhere upriver in the interior of Oregon

Cyclone fencing! Touché!

I’m looking forward to an elevated heart rate, actually. It’s been clunking along in the low thirties for most of the last year, and I’m really wondering what life will be like with a more normal pulse again.

Doh! How silly of me. You meant cycl(on)e fencing.

Yes, we should be around. And most likely this time we’ll eat indoors and not force your repaired ticker to pump extra hard to keep up your core body temp.

Very good luck with your ablation surgery. I hope it is as great a success as mine was 14 years ago then never another incident

No, goofball! Not that kind of fencing.

We’ll be driving through your neighborhood again on our way to Tucson this winter, btw. If you and BJ are around it would be great to meet again.
