Hussain is headed on to Urdukus. He is carrying about 25kg and walks at twice our speed.

The trickiest part of the trek. Muhammad and Nahid guide us across one at a time. We later hear that on the way up on of our mules fell down here but fortunately escaped with minor injuries.

This mule did not make it.

First class assistance crossing streams and crevasses

A soft silvery metal is included in these rocks. It rubs off on your fingers. Tin or lead?

Towards the Trango

Snacks are ready on arrival to camp. This is the heart of the mountain goat killed a few days ago.

The light changes every minute

Workers ar Urdukus taking a break. The Italian Count Abruzzi, during the first expedition to K2 established this campsite. The park is working hard to enlarge the camping area.
