Week 7: Hunedoara restday: Corvin Castle

After cycling for seven days, a rest day. We are in a hotel that has BBC and CNN and sports channel, we think we've not missed much by not seeing news.

Only thing on the agenda today is touring the Corvin Castle.

Corvin Castle, 1458-1490, when Matia Corvin was King of Hungary. The Zlastic stream flows by the castle and under the bridge turning a watermill then flows into the Cerna River.

The castle overlooks the ethnographical region of Padureni. On the eastern side the Porana Rusca Mountains, the territory of Hunedoara bordered by the Mures Valley and the Cerna Valley.
