Imi Ouaddar: Steep begining
This was another fantastic ride (you'll get tired of me saying that). It started off steep (14%) but that just made the other grades (5-7%) seem really easy. There were several places to get coffee and there was a shoulder most of the way but the traffic was fast and I was glad we had mirrors and lights. After Tamri, which was a bustling place with lots of fruit stands, the shoulder reappeared and it was gentle rolling up and down for the rest of the ride. Looking down at the Atlantic from 1,000' was great riding visuals. The only downside was the shacks on the side of the road where people were living who, apparently, were collecting, shucking and selling mussels that, I believe, they were havesting in the ocean far below. We stayed at the Blue Wave Hotel ($85) which had a great almost rooftop dining room.
