South of Sidi Kaouki: Finally traveling

It was easy getting out of the city. There was a good shoulder leaving town and when we turned off the main road traffic was light. We stopped in Sidi Kaouki for lunch. It is a big tourist area-surfing and camel rides. A good selection of places to have lunch.

This was my idea of a perfect riding day. With only 23 miles to ride it allowed us to: have a very leisurely breakfast, stop for lunch, arrive with enough time to walk around and see stuff ( in this case we walked down to the shore)

Nice riding- light traffic.

This place was really charming even if it was showing its age and had a bit of desert dust scattered around.

It was near a dry river bed in which you could take a half hour walk down to a really nice beach.
