The very long journey really starts today.  I arrived in Toronto last night so i could visit my sister in Guelph today, slightly less than an hour west of the airport.  Sadly she is not the same vibrant woman with whom I used to travel, early onset dementia has robbed her of these opportunities.  So the message here is live life to the fullest because you never now when it will come crashing down.  Nonetheless she is happy and loving where she is living.  Likewise the staff are great and they love her.

Once back at YYZ i had time to kill until my 9PM flight to Istanbul followed by a 10 hour layover and then the flight to Cape Town.  I arrive in Cape Town at noon on Thursday Oct 30 which 2AM the same day at home.
