Barandas
The distance from De Rust to Uniondale is less than a hundred kilometers but its a rather hilly route so we wanted to break it into two rides. The problem was that there seemingly is no accommodation available on the way. Google Maps showed a farm just over halfway that supposedly had a cottage rent but it is no longer operational. I asked if we could wildcamp on the farm and we were immediately offered the use of an open shed under which to pitch our tent and the use of a simple ablution facility.
It's now a far more manageable ride to Uniondale tomorrow where we have a reservation at a cottage there for the next two nights.
