The ratio of cycling to odd happenings is vanishingly low in our travel.
2 months agoKeep the odd, unrelated-to-cycling moments coming! They add so much color.
2 months agoThank you so much, Charlotte. It means a lot to us.
2 months agoHow great to have committed to this journaling! You are both wonderful writers, and the insights and joyful appreciation are so much fun. It makes me wish I was traveling along too, but the two of you are the very best pair.
Take care and see you in the next episode!
Thank you for your enthusiasm, Charlotte, and thank you for coming along with us. Our trips have all been wonderful and there are a few gems in each of the journals. I mean, stuff you just can't make up! And since we aren't serious cyclers and because we have had lots of trips preceding our bike trips we have written about a lot of cultural stuff that we've learned along the way. I'm glad you're reading Unchained Melody, it's one of my favorites. A couple of trips ago I determined that we needed to write to account for every single day of our trip. It's been a lot of work but totally worth it.
2 months agoI’m late to read this trip! I’m so enthralled by your current trip in 2025, that I thought I’d go back and read previous journals while I wait for the new installment. It really is a fun way to enjoy my lunch at the office, to follow along and be part of your journey 🤩
2 months agoYou know, I totally forgot to stuff a few brooms in the boxes. It would have been a perfect way to get a few home.
1 year agoHaha, exactly!
1 year agoThat would have made our journey home even more exciting. Speaking of durian, we were at the Grand Opening (okay, the second day but it was still feverish there) of the Hong Phat Supercenter, a giant Asian grocery, and the durian were flying out of their aromatic cardboard boxes.
1 year agoSorry, they're out of Todd the Pig, but I hear good things about Touch the Sea Urchin.
1 year agoGlen Campbell sings in my head every time I see those guys.
1 year agoTodd the Pig sounds worth trying.
1 year agoDoes he work for the county?
1 year agoI bet a few brooms made it into the bike boxes.

Thank you, Bo. I will keep them coming as I see them happening. I can't help but to report this stuff. It's all fascinating to me.
